Facelift Surgery Pictures of mid face lift Performed by Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon

Facelift Surgery Pictures of Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon Dr. Vishal Kapoor performing Mid Face Lift procedure under Local Anesthesia. Known as the Short Incision Facelift, this Face lift procedure leaves a nearly unnoticeable scar and requires minimal downtime.

Irvine Facelift Surgery is commonly performed to correct sagging along the jaw-line (known as jowls) and neck region (commonly referred to as the turkey-neck). Progressive drooping of our facial skin and muscles causes these deformities. Traditionally an Irvine Face Lift would involve tightening only the skin component of the face and neck. The biggest drawbacks of skin only facelifts are somewhat unnatural appearing results with a “pulled back look”, poor scars, and shortly lived results.

Cosmetic Surgery for the Modern Woman AKA the Mommy Makeover

The modern woman's responsibilities have expanded beyond the 1950's stereotype of taking care of the house and raising the children to now include a full time career and at the same time trying to live healthy, longer and stay in shape. More often then not however, for many women, exercise and diet are not enough to control the signs of aging or after effects of child birth, let alone reverse them.

With the recent advancements in cosmetic surgery, procedures to correct the effects of nature are both incredibly safe and cost effective. The most common of which include Liposuction, Tummy Tucks, and Breast Augmentation to rejuvenate the body and the Mini Face Lift or Eyelid Surgery to rejuvenate the face. It is not uncommon for a combination of these procedures to be performed at the same time which has been given the popular term, Mommy Makeover.

Performing a customized combination of these procedures has made it possible for many mothers and bread winners to re-gain the looks they had prior to starting a family and / or spent years in the 9 to 5 grind.

When rejuvenation of the breasts is desired, additional procedures have been perfected over the years to enhance the results of Breast Augmentation surgery. These procedures include the Breast Lift and the Breast Reduction which are designed to address specific problems such as positioning, size, elasticity, and overall cosmetic look. Performed in combination with Breast Augmentation, these procedures enable women to return their breasts back to their original youthful appearance or enhance their original appearance to add a little oomph to their new rejuvenated body and face.

Thanks to state-of-the-art medical facilities, technology and modern surgical techniques, the days of looking "operated on" are a distant memory of the past. Nowadays, cosmetic surgery procedures are designed to maximize enhancement and rejuvenation and produce natural looking results. The best cosmetic surgery procedure is the one no one can tell was performed. It simply leaves you looking rejuvenated, refreshed and natural looking. There has never been a better time than now for women to achieve the look they have always desired.

Facelift Pictures with Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon Vishal Kapoor, MD

Facelift surgery is commonly performed to correct sagging along the jaw-line (known as jowls) and neck region (commonly referred to as the turkey-neck). Progressive drooping of our facial skin and muscles causes these deformities. Traditionally a facelift would involve tightening only the skin component of the face and neck. The biggest drawbacks of skin only facelifts are somewhat unnatural appearing results with a “pulled back look”, poor scars, and shortly lived results. More advanced facelift techniques involve repositioning the deeper layer of tissue, known as the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System), which tightens the muscular layer beneath the skin. The benefits of a SMAS facelift are longer lasting results, a more natural appearance, and minimal scarring. Additionally, when a SMAS layer is used in a facelift, it can be repositioned separately from the skin, allowing us to perform a bidirectional facelift. This serves to correct different deformities, and provides optimal results. Due to the complexity of a SMAS facelift, many surgeons are not comfortable performing this type of procedure, and nor do they have the appropriate training to do so. In addition to his training in plastic surgery, Dr. Kapoor has had an additional year of fellowship training in SMAS facelift surgery by Dr. John Owsley, one of the pioneers of the SMAS facelift. He is one of the few surgeons in Southern California who performs the SMAS Bidirectional facelift.

Los Angeles Plastic Surgery Procedures

The decision to undergo elective plastic surgery is both a significant and personal one. I believe this process starts with our initial consultation where we will first spend as much time as we need to get to know each other and to discuss your plastic surgery goals. I will help you to feel free to ask me any question or express any concerns. After this conversation, you will be carefully examined so that I can learn and understand your desired outcomes. From this time together, I can formulate the right surgical plan to help you reach your optimal result.

My approach to each patient is unique and individually tailored to give you the best result possible. Because you have your own specific goals and unique anatomy, you need and deserve an individualized approach. My staff and I also carefully explain the procedure in detail, answer your questions about anesthesia and other concerns, and then discuss both your anticipated recovery and techniques to optimize your result. Because aesthetic plastic surgery is an elective procedure, I will only proceed when you have a clear understanding of the procedure and are comfortable with our plan.

An interactive and collaborative effort works best to promote a shared understanding of the desired results. During surgery, I take as much time as we need to make certain that you receive the best result that my staff and I can provide. I am committed to delivering the best possible surgical result and to make sure you are happy and satisfied.

Vishal Kapoor MD in the Operating Room Performing Male Breast Reduction

Candidates for male breast reduction include physically healthy men who are looking to improve breasts that are more feminine than masculine in appearance. The best results are often achieved on those with firm, elastic skin. Surgery is not advised for individuals who drink or smoke heavily or take steroids until these habits have been stopped. Surgery is also not recommended for obese men or overweight men who have not yet tried to improve their breast appearance through exercise and weight loss. An initial consultation with Dr. Kapoor in his Beverly Hills office will help to determine if male breast reduction is right for you.

Male Breast Reduction Post Operative Instructions

1. You must have a responsible adult drive you to your plastic surgeon on the day of Male Breast Reduction Surgery, drive you home after Male Breast Reduction Surgery  and care for you for 24-48 hours after Male Breast Reduction Surgery.

2. Early ambulation is important after Male Breast Reduction Surgery; you may start walking lightly 1 day after your surgery.

3. You may go to the bathroom with assistance as needed.

4. Take your medications according to the specific written instructions that have been provided by your cosmetic surgeon.

5. You can expect the following:
  • You will feel significant pressure on your chest. This will resolve after a few days time.
  • You will be fitted with a post surgical garment and foam compression pads to give you added support. This garment usually has to be worn night and day for 5 weeks after surgery, except when showering or when laundering it. It is not uncommon to have some mild bloody drainage on your garment the first day.
  • A drain sometimes will be in placed in each breast and the drainage will need to be measured with the amount recorded and then emptied. It will usually be removed at your first postoperative visit 3-4 days after surgery. At this time, sutures will be removed.
  • The period of greatest discomfort does not usually last more than 24-48 hours.  Thereafter, you may find that you need your pain medication less frequently.

6. You can shower 48 hours after Male Breast Reduction Surgery. Remove the garment and discard any gauze dressings and foam pads from the chest. Do not remove the surgical tape from the incision. After the shower, replace the garment.

7. Avoid any heavy lifting (greater than 10 pounds), strenuous exercise, pushing for 2 weeks after Male Breast Reduction Surgery. After this, you can gradually increase your activity, progressing to full activity with no restrictions at 3 weeks.

8. Avoid direct sun exposure / tanning of the incision for several months after Male Breast Reduction Surgery

  • Marked swelling of one or both breasts, fevers, chills, or excessive bleeding.
  • Shortness of breath, chest pain.

Facelift Surgery Pictures of mid face lift Performed by Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon

Facelift Surgery Pictures of Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon Dr. Vishal Kapoor performing Mid Face Lift procedure under Local Anesthesia. Known as the Short Incision Facelift, this Face lift procedure leaves a nearly unnoticeable scar and requires minimal downtime.

The incision for the Facelift Los Angeles typically starts above or at the hairline at the temples. The incision then extends in a natural line in front of the ear or just inside of the ear cartilage, then continues behind the earlobe and ends in the lower scalp. An additional small incision will be made just under the chin if the chin is being worked on as well. Working through the incisions, California Plastic Surgeon Dr. Kapoor will carefully separate the skin from the underlying muscle and fat. He may then trim or liposuction fat from the chin and neck area and tighten the underlying muscle and deeper tissues (SMAS, Platysma). He will then finish the New Facelift Los Angeles by re-draping the skin and trimming any excess. Stitches will be used to secure the layers of tissue, while either stitches or metal clips may be used on the scalp incision.
