Dr. Kapoor performs liposuction surgeryonsite at the Beverly Hills Wellness Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art AAAHC-certified facility. The typical liposuction procedure takes approximately one to two hours to perform, though many of the newer techniques take longer. The type of anesthesia used will depend on the technique. Minor liposuction procedures may be performed with a local anesthetic with or without sedation. More extensive procedures may require regional or general anesthesia. Many of the newer techniques utilize a medicated solution containing lidocaine (a local anesthetic) which is injected into the fatty areas.
