The Breast augmentation procedure takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour to complete, after which time you will be in the recovery room, where a nurse will carefully monitor you. You can expect to be slightly drowsy most of the day. Most patients do not have a significant amount of pain during this time and we recommend taking pain medications as needed every four to six hours. You can typically expect to be able to return to work in 3-5 days and start exercise and more strenuous activities in 3-4 weeks.
